Plan a battery/inverter combination and PV string groups with exact-model sources and visible limits.

A system is more than matching volts.

This workbench checks direct DC battery and PV connections to a selected inverter family. Use one model family per role, quantities, and string groups assigned to individual inverters and MPPTs. Mixed banks, other controllers and AC-coupled architectures need separate documented review.

Search is available across the catalog. Reviewed profiles currently cover EG4 FlexBOSS18, EG4 FlexBOSS21, EG4 WallMount 280Ah All Weather, REC460AA Pure-RX and Enphase IQ Battery 5P. Detailed interface checks apply only to those explicitly associated models. A missing record means unverified, not incompatible. Shared brand, voltage or connector shape does not establish support.

Describe the proposed configuration.

These are your proposed design inputs. The Isc multiplier is additional to any recorded datasheet tolerance; no local-code multiplier is selected for you. Battery current arithmetic assumes a shared bank and even distribution, which remain unverified. AC checks use the battery-only continuous rating, not a surge or PV-assisted rating.

PV string groups.

Each group uses the selected module model and one series length. Add groups to assign strings to individual inverters and MPPTs. Parallel groups sharing an MPPT are checked together. Modules per string and string count are your assumptions.

Your projects

Saving records the selected IDs, proposed quantities, string groups, inputs and dated source snapshot. No project inputs leave this browser. Export before clearing storage; a mathematical check does not approve a design.

What still needs a design decision?

  • Exact nameplates, production versions, firmware, communication transport, pinouts and settings.
  • Coldest site conditions, hot-module voltage, irradiance/current factors, shading and orientation.
  • Bank current sharing, charge limits, cables, terminations, protection, disconnects, mounting, grounding and rapid shutdown.
  • AC phase/voltage, per-leg loads, starts, controls, transfer equipment, location and derating.
  • Complete-system listing conditions, local authority requirements and utility acceptance.
